Beau Rivage Elevated Storage Tank

PROJECT UPDATE: July 23, 2023

Crews are on site this week prepping the water tower for paint and anticipate work being completed by July 24, 2024. Our contractors are using dry-fall primer that turns to dust in a few seconds (typically before it hits the ground) but can leave a black residue. Customers should contact to Aqua at 919.653.5773 with questions regarding this work.

Final painting will take place in August, contractors will be applying the paint by brush and roll method to reduce paint fall during this phase of the project. Aqua will keep you updated on our project website here.

PROJECT UPDATE: May 24, 2024

Construction is well underway on our new elevated water storage tank to ensure safe, reliable water service for all residents of Beau Rivage, Willow Glen, and other communities in the water system.

With the tank now ready to go up, a crane needed to perform this work will be assembled on-site. Our contractors will be transporting materials and pieces of the crane in and out of the Beau Rivage community starting the week of May 27.

During this period, you’ll see an increase in construction and delivery vehicles in the community. We’re doing everything we can to limit the impact on your roads and we will post updates here if there are delays due to inclement weather.

Paint and finishing work will immediately follow, and we anticipate completion of the elevated tank in the fall of 2024.

PROJECT UPDATE: October 9, 2023

Construction has begun on our new elevated water storage tank to ensure clean, safe, reliable water service for all residents of Beau Rivage, Willow Glen, and other communities in the water system.

This month, you’ll see our contractors begin to bring necessary construction materials to the site, and they’ll immediately start on the pilings and foundation’s construction. Once that is over, you will start seeing the tank going up. Paint and finishing are planned for early 2024 be and the tank should be online in the spring.

You’ll see an increase in construction vehicles coming in and out of the community over the next few months, and we’re doing everything we can to not impact your roads.

We will continue to provide updates here, and you can find out more about this project in our Frequently Asked Questions section below.

The new tank is one of many projects we’re working on in The Cape Water System Comprehensive Master Plan to ensure continued reliability as our community continues to grow, with new and redevelopment.  Aqua’s projects include a booster pump at The Cape elevated water storage tank, three new wells installed in the Village at Mott’s Landing, and various water main upgrades throughout the system. In addition to keeping pace with population growth, these improvements are necessary to meet evolving regulations, as well as protect public health and the environment.

Our top priority is to provide you with clean, safe, reliable water—and we also want to be a good partner to you and the entire community as we complete this project. We expect construction will take about one year. A few important things to keep in mind:

  • To minimize any construction impact, all work will be done on Aqua property. We will have clearly marked signs to help ease confusion and traffic issues.
  • We don’t expect the construction to cause any service interruptions, or changes to water quality. If any interruptions do arise, WaterSmart Alerts will provide real-time updates. Sign up here: https://www.aquawater.com/service-alerts.php.
  • We want to stay in contact with you.

We’ve also compiled some helpful information to address questions you may have about the projects. You can find it in the pages that follow.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve your community.
