Welcome to Aqua
Lake Tamarack’s Trusted Partner for Safe, Reliable Water Service
Aqua New Jersey became the owner and operator of the Lake Tamarack water system on October 14, 2026.
Aqua New Jersey is dedicated to our mission of protecting and providing earth’s most essential resource, and we are committed to delivering safe, dependable water service to you.
What New Service Means for You
Aqua plans to invest more than $1.4 million in improvements to the water system over the next several years. These improvements will meet regulatory, environmental, and cybersecurity standards while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service.
How Will Rates Be Affected?
Aqua New Jersey plans to install remote-read meters for all Lake Tamarack customers, which is expected to take 6-8 months. Until meters are installed, Aqua New Jersey will maintain Lake Tamarack’s current flat rate which will be prorated monthly, and customers will receive monthly bills. In addition, customers will see state-regulated fees added to their monthly Aqua New Jersey bills.
The state-regulated fees are as follows:
- Distribution System Improvement Charge (DSIC) $2.93
- Lead Serve Line Replacement Charge $5.64
- Resiliency and Environmental System Investment Charge (RESIC) $1.29
Aqua will bill Lake Tamarack water customers for the first time at the end of October 2026.
Once meters are installed, customers will be billed monthly, based upon consumption readings from the new meters, for the current Aqua New Jersey rates which are approved by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJ BPU). You can learn more about our rates here.
