Penn Township Wastewater System Undergoes Crucial Improvements

At Aqua Pennsylvania, we know that wastewater treatment is essential. It protects public health, supports a safe environment, and helps every day to preserve source water, supports outdoor recreation, safeguards wildlife, and ensures that our communities thrive.

Reliable wastewater service starts with sustainable operations and ready-to-serve infrastructure. Unfortunately, much of our water and wastewater infrastructure, such as pipelines, are underground and easily forgotten. When our critical infrastructure is neglected, it can cause irreparable damage that effects all of us.

Aqua Pennsylvania Committed to Restoring Perkiomen Creek

Aqua Pennsylvania recently launched a large-scale project to improve aquatic habitat in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Our team is restoring conditions to the stream corridors of the Main Branch and West Branch of Perkiomen Creek, a tributary of the Schuylkill River. Perkiomen Creek is a popular fishing destination known for its abundant trout population, which includes Pennsylvania’s native brook trout.

Aqua Pennsylvania Supports Heroic Work of Local Fire Companies

On the surface, there is an obvious connection between fire companies and the services we provide here at Aqua Pennsylvania: water. But when you think beyond that, we both aim to keep our communities safe each day. This is one of the many reasons why we are proud to support the critical work of our local fire companies.

From extinguishing active fires to water and trench rescue, providing emergency medical services to responding to hazardous material events (and so much more), these heroes selflessly ensure the safety of neighborhoods and their residents 365 days a year.

Introducing Our New Environmental Laboratory

In case you missed it, we recently opened our brand-new Aqua Environmental Laboratory in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania! Our team of brilliant chemists and microbiologists are already hard at work, helping use ensure the quality of the water we provide to our customers and the wastewater that we return to the environment.

At a whopping 14,700 square feet, this laboratory is more than double the size of our previous lab. But what exactly is inside this new facility? Keep reading to learn all about the four labs that make up our new high-tech space.

Aqua Pennsylvania is Lending a Hand To Customers

As COVID-19 continues to financially impact businesses and families in our communities, Aqua Pennsylvania is reminding customers that its Helping Hand assistance program is available to help those whose finances are affected by the pandemic.

The Helping Hand program is an assistance program designed to enable customers facing financial difficulty to make manageable monthly payments on their water and wastewater bills. This program is a resource for customers if they are having trouble paying their water and wastewater bills due to COVID-19.
